Flash Photo Website vs HTML Photo Website

The opposition between Flash and HTML started the day the Adobe Flash was introduced. Many articles have been written and many pros and cons have been discussed. Still the choice between the flash or static website is solely upon the website owner. However, the statistics say that nowadays more people prefer to have flash websites due to the reason that they are more effective.

There are 3 reasons why I wouldn’t have got a flash website about a year ago. The first one would have been that flash websites were hard to edit (especially the flash templates). The reason number two is that flash website content was not indexed by search engines. And the third reason would have been the following – flash websites used to load for ages.

But things have changed and though Flash is not a universal solution, sometimes it is just more powerful than boring HTML. While the majority of business and corporate websites are still designed with CSS, most of today’s art, fashion, wedding, and photography website are built with Flash.

Speaking of the latte, flash photography websites have multiple advantages. Looking for photographer for any occasion like wedding, birthday party, or anniversary celebration, people make impression of you as an artist based on your art AND it’s presentation. That’s why it is important to have a nice-looking and user-friendly website.

Let’s discuss several reasons why you should consider a flash website for your online photo portfolio. Note that we’re speaking of a manageable flash website and not just a flash template.

1. Flash photo site looks impressive.

As a rule, flash photo websites look stylish. However, websites that are too flashy irritate the visitors and scare them away. Flash should be used wisely – you’re building a professional photography website and not a flash game. Even if you like games, there’s no guarantee that your potential clients will.

2. Your photos cannot be copied and saved.

Your photos can be easily downloaded off the usual html websites and used for further unauthorized purposes you’re not likely to find out about. Flash websites don’t allow “save as” option. Of course, there’s a way to make screenshots but that would require additional editing to crop the picture. Besides, the photo quality wouldn’t be the same. And anyways, 99% of people stealing others’ photos are lazy enough to do all this because of just one picture, so your works are safe.

3. Flash photo gallery looks cool

Presentation matters. That’s why it is important to showcase your art in an attractive way. Creative photo gallery is what your potential customers expect – don’t let them down. And that’s where flash photo gallery comes to hand. Create multiple theme albums, arrange the best shots into a stylish flash slideshow, make your photo gallery dynamic. Impress your visitors a distinctive personal approach.

4. Right music makes the right style.

If website design is your cocktail dress then website music is the jewelry. Right website music can create the right atmosphere and enhance your website’s look and feel. So, make sure you have music to play on your flash website.

Taking into account the above-mentioned and the fact that search engines have been indexing flash websites for about a year so far, I vote for a Flash photography website. If you are looking for one, we have a flash photo website for you. It’s easy to update, simple to maintain, and quick to load and work with. Oh, and it looks beautiful!

    I have to comment on:

“If website design is your cocktail dress then website music is the jewelry.”

Website music is the screeching drunk that ruins the party and forces everyone to leave. Immediately.

Everyone I know either browses at work where they shouldn’t be, or browses with their *own* music playing.

Absolutely nothing at all is more irritating that either someone else’s choice of music destroying your silence, or someone else’s choice of music suddenly mangling the music *you* as a a person, choose to listen to.

Either way, you’ve just lost a client by deciding you know best what music they should like and listen to.
